About This Web Site

IGBO.org is the official Web site of the International Bowling Organization (IGBO). This Web site emphasizes current, accurate communication by encouraging various groups to post internal news and other information of interests to various groups throughout the organization. It is also an electronic portal to numerous tools and resources including updates, administration, organization changes, news, bowler education, and so on.

The IGBO.org Web site is overseen and maintained by the IGBO Online Committee and Webmaster team. At the same time, respective officers, directors, committee chairs must monitor and request updates within their respective online areas. The Webmaster team develops and publishes various requested content updates and Web applications upon completion of structured review process.

Please remember that, as a IGBO member, this is your Web site! If you have special requests for new content, services, or applications, do not hesitate to contact us.

Site Viewing Requirements

IGBO.org Web site is designed for Microsoft Internet Explorer (5.5 or higher), Netscape (6.2 (or higher), and FireFox (1.0 or higher). Netscape 4.x and Internet Explorer for Macintosh may render the site pages differently than our original design intent; and, no efforts will be made to adjust the site design for these browsers.

You must have cookies and JavaScript enabled in your browser setup for some pages and online applications to work properly. Also, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Macromedia Flash Player plugins are required to view certain documents on the site. All Microsoft document plugins are installed automatically with Microsoft Office. The Macromedia Flash Player plugin comes with Internet Explorer 5.5 (or higher), Netscape 6.x.(or higher), and Firefox 1.x.

Graphics and color schemes throughout our site are best viewed at a display setting of 64K colors or higher and a screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels (or higher). (IGBO.org Web site colors will not render properly at 256 colors, and Web browser windows will crop portions of pages at 640 x 480 pixels.

Viewing PDF Documents

Many documents on this site are available as Adobe Portable Document Format files (PDF). You must have the Adobe Acrobat Reader plug-in loaded on your computer to view PDF files. The plug-in is available free from Adobe. Acrobat Reader 7.0 is highly recommended for use on this site.

Links to PDF documents will be identified by the PDF icon or with (PDF) following the file name or link. If viewing a PDF file in Acrobat Reader is very slow,, it may be due to the size of the document. You can view larger documents more easily by downloading them to your PC (right-click the PDF document links and selecting "Save Target As"), then viewing with Acrobat Reader from that location.

Getting Around & Finding What You Need

This is a very large web site, but we have made every attempt to make it easy for you find what you need with the following navigational elements. If you are unable to find the information or services you need, please contact us by e-mail: webmaster@cityofboise.org.

  • Top Menu - Every page of the site has a top horizontal menu. If scripting is enabled in your browser, the top selections will drop-down menus with selections for that column. If menuing is disabled, each of the categories across the top menu will link to directory pages for that category.
  • Side Menus (Section Quickinks) - Most pages on the site have navigation menus vertically aligned at the left of the page and are titled as section quick links. These section links match the top menu navigation when selected.
  • Directory (Level) Links - Most pages on the site will have lnks at top of the content portion of each page (under the the section heading graphic. These directoty level links are clickable (also known as bread crumbs) and identify sublevels within the section navigation.
  • Common Task Jump Menu - At the top of every page is a "Go to a Section..." drop-down menu. Use this to access common sections of the site.
  • Search - Every page has a Search text link in the header of every page.
