January 2006— I want to extend my sincere thanks to all of the bowlers and IGBO representatives who support these ongoing events. All information on the Fundraising events is mailed (and emailed) to the league representatives that should be passing along to their respective leagues. In addition, I post it on the IGBO email group. If you are a league representative and not receiving information from me, please get in touch with me and I can check into it.

The Multi City Raffle for Annual in Kansas City concluded in Calgary. Winners are posted below. [Editor's note: To ensure member privacy, refer to January 2006 IGBO Newsletter for Winner List.]

Top 3 winners also received a certificate for a Storm bowling ball and a free entry for annual in Kansas City. Ken Jones of Oklahoma City sold the most tickets (920) and received a free entry and 4 nights stay at the host hotel.

The next event from the Committee is the Mail In Tournament for Annual in Kansas City, MO. Entry forms will be sent to league IGBO representatives in December. The tournament will take place during 2 consecutive weeks from January 22, 2006 – February 11, 2006. This is to be determined by your league representative and league officers before the beginning of this period, whatever accommodates your league the best. If your league has any problem with this schedule, please feel free to contact me to discuss.

And right after is the Multi-City Raffle for the Mid Year tournament in Detroit MI. Each league representative will be sent 40 tickets in February to sell on their respective leagues. There will be 10 winners from the event. First prize is $500, 2nd prize is $200 and 3rd prize is $100. In addition, the top 3 winners also receive a Storm Bowling Ball and a free entry to the IGBO Tournament. There will also be cash prizes to the 4th through 10th winners.

All tickets are a donation of $1.00. This means if you are in the US, it is $1.00 (US), if you are in Canada, it is $1.00 (Canadian), etc. The payout will also be adjusted for this: if a Canadian wins, the cash prize they will receive will be in Canadian dollars. Winning tickets will be drawn on Sunday, May 28, 2006 in Kansas City. Please see your league representative for tickets. And as an incentive, the Detroit Committee has donated a free-entry to the representative that sells the most tickets. If you need additional tickets to sell, please contact me.

I do appreciate all the support throughout IGBO. Unlike the other IGBO committees, this on relies on many people to function. Your suggestions are greatly appreciated and will be given full consideration. Please give me a call at (631) 630 1478 (home) or send e-mail to todd.denmark@mercer.com.
