Northeast Regional Report

Hello bowlers,

Here we are at the end of another long bowling season. I hope everyone had a great season. I was in Sweetheart in February for another great weekend courtesy of Mike Nelson and the incredible committee and volunteers in New Haven. It was nice to see everyone again and that this tournament is and will be still going strong for many years to come. The tournament results are posted on their web page at www.sweetheartinvitational.com. In April, I will have been to the Gotham Open and another Regional Meeting. I’m sure Amando and the committee will have a lot planned for us in NY/NJ. After that, up to Rochester for a visit with the folks up north to see how they are doing and to have a little regional meeting for them. Then it’s on the Oklahoma City for another IGBO Annual. I look forward to the Annual this year, Oklahoma had a wonderful Mid Year event in 2007, so I expect nothing less. There are several positions up for re-election on the board this year and you can count on me contacting you for your proxies and absentee ballots.

I want to thank all of you who participated in the bowling ball raffle we did this spring, I know OKC will be extremely grateful to us for our help.

In July, I will be at the Liberty Belle Invitational and I look forward to seeing you there as well as at RIBIT on Labor Day weekend.

Remember, for the first time in over ten years, the region will be holding the IGBO MY event in Syracuse NY. Mark, Bob and the committee have been working their tales off to make sure that when you get to Syracuse, you will wonder why you’ve never been there before. I sure hope you can make it. Online registration will be available shortly after OKC.
