Rocky Mountain Region Update

Tournament News

  • In September, ELVIS (Everybody Loves Vegas In September) held its 3rd annual tournament with 132 participants.
  • Also in September, TART (The Albuquerque Roadrunner Tournament) held its annual tournament with 74 participants.
  • In October, DIGLIT (Denver International Gay and Lesbian Invitational Tournament) held its tournament with 160 participants.

High Scores

  • Congratulations to Cody McLean from Tucson, AZ on his first 300 game. Cody also bowled his first 800 series. This was done in the Welcome to Oz league.
  • Congratulations to Christopher Harnish on his 300 game at DIGLIT
  • Congratulations to Robert Bostdorf, Jr for his first ever 300 game. This was achieved in the Thursday Nite 4 Play league in Denver CO.
  • Congratulations to Todd Bullock on his 300 game in the Merry Mixers League in Wheatridge CO.

Other News

  • Congratulations to Alan Emmons for his recognition at DIGLIT. He was given the Curtis Whitelock Award by the committee.
  • Robert Bostdorf, Jr and I were honored by being given the first annual Mile High Service Award.
  • I was honored by the TART committee by being given the Chuck Heidbrink award.

Upcoming Tournaments

  • PRIT (Phoenix Regional Invitational Tournament) will be held on February 13-15, 2026.
  • IGBO Annual 2026 will be held in Denver on May 14-17, 2026. Registration will go live on January 7, 2026. The hotel is open for reservations.

New Leagues

  • There are 2 new leagues in the Rocky Mountain Region.
  • Rollin With Y’All in Mesa, AZ with 15 members.
  • Rainbow League in Northglenn, CO with 23 members.

New Tournaments

  • Las Vegas has inquired about starting a new tournament in April 2027. I have asked them to apply for membership so that they can be voted in at IGBO Annual in Denver.
